Who says we can’t be entrepreneurs while working for a company?

Entrepreneur’s common traits: owns something fully, loses sleep, time and money working on things, brings personal belongings to work, will do everything to make sure the project launches.

Employees forget the work as soon as it is passed on to others. Entrepreneurs own it, sometimes becoming abrasive to a fault, but they cannot be faulted for that–what matters to them is the project gets done well.

Why lose sleep over work? Why fuss about it 24/7? Employees don’t do that. They leave work at 6 and go back the next day. That makes it a routine. Entrepreneurs work until they tire and until it gets done right. That makes it a passion.

Standards dictate never to bring your own stuff to work because its hard to account for them. And because you have to learn to work with what’s given to you. But you’re an entrep, forget that, right? What matters to you is do the job great, and you’ll do everything legal (I hope) in your capacity to make it happen.

Are you an employee or an entrepreneur? Being an entrepreneur nowadays doesn’t mean having start up capital and having your own business. It can also mean having a high standard for quality of results.
